MEDIA360 PERSPECTIVES

What is a marketing technology stack?

It is the collection of platforms a team uses to run and measure marketing: a CRM such as HubSpot, advertising platforms like Google, Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok, collaboration tools such as SharePoint, and the tracking conventions—like UTM naming—that hold reporting together.

Why do stacks underperform?

Most problems live in the handoffs. A form fill that never reaches the sales team, a chat conversation without context, or campaign links tagged inconsistently will make good platforms look ineffective. More tools rarely fix a disconnected journey.

Where should you start?

Map the customer journey first, then configure tools around it. Agree account ownership, access and consent before connecting systems. Test conversion events and lead handoffs before launch, and document the setup so the team can maintain it.

How does this relate to marketing intelligence?

Platform setup and campaign operations keep the machinery running. A separate intelligence layer—such as Media360’s MIP—helps interpret the agreed campaign data those platforms produce. The two complement each other; neither replaces the other.
